Repeat Prescriptionsmedication7

Patients on long-term medciation can order repeat prescriptions in the following ways:

  • In person - drop your repeat slip in at reception having clearly marked the items required.
  • By post
  • By telephone - on 01746 780553 after 10:00
  • Online Services - click here for registration forms.

Urgent Requests

To obtain medicines urgently during surgery hours please call reception and inform them of your situation. If the surgery is closed but you have a prescription you may go to the nearest pharmacy. However, if you are not in possession of a  prescription you will need to contact the out-of-hours service to obtain one.

Dispensing

We are a dispensing practice which means that you will be able to collect your medicines straight after seeing your doctor. If your medicine is not held in stock we are usually able to obtain it by the next surgery session.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

Please allow three full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take Wednesday afternoons, weekends and bank holidays into account.
