Care Quality Commission (CQC)

From the 1st April 2013 all practices have been regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This body has been set up to monitor quality and safety in the service we provide for our patients.

The standards that they set down applies to all practice no matter what their size or demographics.

A Patient’s visit to the practice is often the beginning of a course of treatment and we are at the start of that journey which may include hospitals, care homes and dentists. All such establishments are required to publish a "Statement of Purpose" which outlines the services they provide.
